Our History

Adirondack Spruce Lodge stands out from other mountain hotels for its rich history, surrounding attractions and natural wonder. Our name honors the Adirondack Spruce tree, a stately conifer which once flourished here. Its value as timber was discovered in the late 1800s, as the logging outfits reached the area. They soon cut down the majority of Adirondack Spruce throughout the mountain range. Our property was once a farm that operated in the Adirondack Mountains, which gradually was converted to a hotel. Each of our rooms is decorated in the style of the era in which it was built.

Our guests often note walking through Adirondack Spruce Lodge is like a walk through time. We’re located on four scenic acres which offers numerous opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts and weekend travelers alike. When it’s time for Breakfast or simply indoor relaxation, we invite you to visit the Welcome Hall, a comfy spot richly appointed in Adirondack decor. It’s an ideal setting for an intimate gathering, a family meal, or simply a place to relax and read by the fire.

Whatever your vacation desires may be, our exceptional team is here to help you create unforgettable memories. We look forward to joining you for your Adirondack experience.
